Taiwan has recently become a competitor when it comes to travelers destination in Asia.
As a traveler, I would like to be able to immerse myself in the culture and traditions of the local people as to more understand how it is to live in places where I travel to.

The Old Town Taipei Tour
A very informative tour that will give you a different perspective of Taipei history. Here, you will encounter famous landmarks and will be able to know the story behind them.
There are also cool twists on this tour. You’ll visit an ice cream shop that offers sugar free icecream with different flavors that are pretty new to your tongue. My personal favorite was the Taiwan beer ice cream, a good warm up for my Pub Crawl after the Old Town Taipei Tour. Incorporated in this tour is a special foot massage. You’ll know why it is special when you join the tour. The end point of the tour is in Ximending, one of the most popular places in Taipei to do some food trips, shopping or even just walk around.

The Longshan Temple Tour
When people say “Temple Tour”, sometimes our mind instantly gives a thought of a boring tour. But mind you, it is called the Longshan Temple Tour but it doesn’t focus totally on the temple itself. Tour Me Away has provided nice concepts and awesome tour guides to make tours very interactive, informative, and fun.
In this tour, you’ll be having a time travel back to the past while walking around, as they tell you the history of the neighborhood of Wanhua District, the location of Longshan Temple, and is the foundation of Taipei City.
You’ll pass through alleys and streets that are mysterious and has interesting stories, you will be given some treats that local Taiwanese eat and drink, and also be able to witness and experience how it is to worship, the Taiwanese way at the temple.
I am very grateful to be able to take myself into this tour. It is my first time to enter a temple not feeling ignorant and very curious of my surroundings, for they have explained the entire process on how things work.

Taipei Chill Out Tour
As the name of the tour implies, you guys will just go chill. But not really because this tour recognizes how diverse Taipei is for having a lot of different cultures in a neighborhood, religions at the same place at peace, and a street also good for food trips. You’ll get to know more flavors of bubble milk tea as well, as per experience.
Oh and this one was memorable for me, for I got a free bubble milk tea because we won 300NTD in a scratch lottery ticket because we felt lucky that time! That was really amazing.
And one of the highlights of the tour is the final stop which is the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, also one of the most famous landmarks in the whole of Taiwan.

The Hunger Game
This tour is worth beyond you 600NTD. It offers you a great experience to indulge in authentic, traditional and modern Taiwanese food that will be very new to your pallet.
This is a “gut challenge” as well for most people because the food you’ll encounter will test your tummy courage. But do not worry, everything is safe to eat. It’s just the appearance and smell that will be very weirdly strange. It’s what locals normally eat, and what better way to immerse yourself to the locals than through your tummies.
And as the Hunger Game tagline goes “May the odds be ever in your flavor!”
Schedule: Tuesday and Friday

Meeting Place: Jingmei MRT Station Exit No. 2

Book Pub Crawl and Hunger Game together to get another 100NTD discount.
Pub Crawl Taipei
This tour is the one I recommend the most!
With just 800NTD, you’d be able to get free drinks including Taiwanese Microbrewa, Taxi Shots, Gaoliang along with Free Club Entry, and discounts on various bars and clubs you’ll visit. Of course I won’t tell you the name of the places, it’s for you to experience and find out.
To be honest I wasn’t able to take good photos because I was really enjoying, not only the drinks but the whole company. I am pretty sure that you’ll enjoy this trip too, for the hosts are very much enthusiastic, engaging, and awesome giving everyone a wonderful time.
